Virtual Memory

To access Virtual Memory, do the following

  1. Open System

  2. Click on Advanced

   

  1. Click on Settings

   

  1. Click Advanced

   

  1. Click Change

You should not edit this page unless you know what you are doing. It is advised that you create a Restore Point and make sure your files are backed up

To change the file size, select what you want to do

 

 

To let Windows manage the file size

 

 put a check in Automatically manage paging file size for all drives

   

 

To change the file size to a specific size that you want

 

  1. Select the drive you want to edit

   

  1. Select custom size and type in the size you want in the boxes

   

  1. Click Set

   

  1. Click OK

   

 

 

To remove Virtual memory on a specific drive

 

  1. Select the drive you want to edit

   

  1. Select No paging file

   

  1. Click Set

   

  1. Click OK
