Changing the Name of the Registered Owner

If you need to change the name of the registered owner of the computer, do the following

Access REGEDIT (The page will open in a separate window)
Double-click or click the + on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Double-click or click the + on Software
Double-click or click the + on Microsoft
Double-click or click the + on Windows
Double-click or click the + on CurrentVersion
On the right Double-click on Registered Owner
Change the name to what you want
Click OK
