How to show hidden files and unprotect system files 

 

  1. Click My Computer

   

  1. Right-click on the CD drive holding the Windows CD

   

  1. Click Explore

   

  1. Click Tools

     

  1. Click Folder Options

     

  1. Click View

   

  1. Put the dot in Show hidden files and folders

     

  1. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)

     

  1. Click Yes

     

  1. Click OK

     
 
When you are finished with creating a new Windows CD, be sure to return hidden files and operating systems back to the original state. Kist repeat steps 4 through10 and reverse what you changed.
